Continental moves towards refi with neutral Credit Suisse hire

Continental has hired Credit Suisse as an independent financing consultant, as the German tyre and automotive component maker works to refinance debt following its 90% acquisition by rival Schaeffler which completed its own Eu12bn loan extension last month.

Credit Suisse will "evaluate options for future sustainable financing and structures as well as to enable an optimal refinancing of the company," Continental said on Thursday.
