Lewis hands Thain key BofA-Merrill job

John Thain, Merrill Lynch’s chairman and chief executive officer, has secured a key role in Bank of America following the merger of the two firms.

Thain will become president of global banking, securities and wealth management in the combined company once the merger is completed.

His responsibilities will include global corporate and investment banking, and most of what is now in global wealth and investment management at Bank of America, which will be merged ...
