Banks grab top tickets on E.On’s Eu6bn refinancing

Lenders have snapped up top tickets for E.On’s Eu6bn five year refinancing facility, with 20 banks committing around Eu240m each. Not only that, but the self-led deal had participation from every one of the 30 relationship banks that were invited.

"We have a very stable bank group," Verena Volpert, senior vice president in the German utility’s finance team, told EuroWeek. "All those 30 banks have been E.On banks for many years, so we did not need anybody in between us and did a self-arranged transaction."
