NAB re-opens euro floaters for Aussies

National Australia Bank prised open the euro market for floating rate notes from Down Under on Tuesday, becoming the first Australian bank to issue a benchmark FRN in euros since 2007.

The deal comes amid a run of three year floaters this week, with BPCE also issuing in the structure on Tuesday, following Banco Santander’s deal on Monday.

NAB’s Eu1bn issue was priced at 47bp over Euribor and surprised some in the market, said one of the bookrunners.
