Betfair sets range

Betfair launched a London initial public offer on Thursday in a deal that values the online betting exchange at between £1.16bn and £1.48bn, enough to make it eligible for inclusion in the FTSE 250 index.

At least 10% of the firm is being sold but the firm will not know exactly how many of its existing shareholders will sell in the offer until October 15.
