BNY Mellon hires new Japan head from UK fund Blue Sky

BNY Mellon has hired a new head of its Japan office, drafting in an experienced banker who was most recently working for UK hedge fund Blue Sky Strategy.

The asset servicing firm has appointed Thom Fisher as the general manager of its Tokyo branch, and country executive for Japan. He will report to Christopher Sturdy, BNY Mellon’s Hong Kong-based chairman of Asia Pacific.
