Want Want targets Taiwan for CNS acquisition loan

Leveraged loan bankers are gearing up for action as Taiwanese conglomerate Want Want Group prepares to syndicate a NT$45.25bn ($1.49bn) loan backing its acquisition of local cable operator China Network Systems in the next few weeks.

Want Want is buying the company from Thailand’s MBK Group. It has already mandated 11 bookrunners and mandated lead arrangers on a deal that will back the CNS acquisition, including coordinators BNP Paribas and Chinatrust.
