ABS ambitions in question as Psalm eyes dollar bonds

The Philippines’ Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp, (Psalm), is considering a return to the global bond market in 2010 in a deal that could partly replace its existing plans for a domestic asset-backed issue.

The borrower has discussed selling a dollar bond with bankers, syndicate officials told EuroWeek on Thursday. But it remains unclear how committed Psalm is to those plans, and it has not sent out a request for proposals to debt arrangers.
