Banco Popular issues new lower tier two in exchange offer

Banco Popular will issue a new lower tier two note as part of a liability management exercise in which it is offering to exchange three of its old tier one hybrid notes, the Spanish bank said today.

The bank is offering to exchange up to bonds up to the value of Eu850m, which is the total outstanding of the three perpetuals.
