BNY Mellon promotes Lackey to chairman

BNY Mellon has appointed two senior bankers to lead its team in Asia Pacific, as the investment manager expands its ambitions in the region.

Stephen Lackey has been made chairman for Asia-Pacific while Daniel Smith becomes chief operating officer in the region. Lackey will replace Christopher Sturdy who is relocating to the US while Smith is moving into a newly created position.
