Perennial $616m IPO returns, pricing expected at low end

Perennial China Retail Trust was pricing its relaunched S$770m ($616m) Singapore IPO as EuroWeek Asia went to press on Thursday night. But despite returning with a smaller deal, the listing looks likely to price towards the bottom of its range.

The company is offering 1.1 billion units between S$0.70-S$0.76 each, down from the S$1 a unit offer in March. That first attempt at a deal ran into competition from Hutchison Whampoa’s ports spin-off IPO, HPH Trust, which priced just days after Perennial had planned to launch its deal. ...
