Citi and Investec announce Aussie GG buybacks

Citi and Investec Bank Australia launched buybacks of their government guaranteed debt this week, in keeping with the trend for banks in Australia to reduce excess liquidity.

The moves followed last week’s plan from Bank of Queensland (BoQ) to buy back its government guaranteed October 2013 bonds.
