BofA, RBC lose fees after $50m Dominion deal

Oil and gas exploration company Dominion Petroleum suffered a setback this week when it failed to secure shareholder support for a $50m share placement completed by RBC Capital Markets and Bank of America Merrill Lynch a month ago.

The withdrawal of the placement is galling for RBC and BofA Merrill as they will receive no remuneration for the deal, which was seen as broadly successful despite failing to secure the originally anticipated $55m and closing a day later than billed.
