D Börse pitches Frankfurt on fees, quality

Deutsche Börse executives on Tuesday fought back against perceptions that the exchange is failing to win its share of an increasingly internationalised new issue market, coming on a marketing trip to London to sell Frankfurt’s high-liquidity, low-fee platform.

The exchange has so far failed in its efforts to win an “icebreaker” Russian IPO said Alexander Höptner, head of markets services at Deutsche Börse. But it has become the most popular European venue among Chinese firms and has ambitions to attract listings from Turkey.
