The dire performance of the Hong Kong stock market, a shrivelling equity portfolio and a special liking for yurts has made me reconsider my investments. It’s time to head to the frontier markets.

After all, I consider myself a natural frontiersman, a man who in days gone by would have lived out in the Wild West, shooting rusty beer cans from a mile away and lassoing bank robbers without breaking a sweat.
