Sparse but varied deals show debt still available
As gloom fills financial markets, with stocks falling and CDS indices widening, corporate finance specialists in Europe are keeping their spirits up by reminding themselves that Investment Grade Europe Plc is still in favour with investors and can borrow whenever it needs to. It’s just that it doesn’t want to.
With syndicated loan volumes at decade lows and corporate bond issuance plummeting after a busy first quarter, some reassurance is needed.
