Media Tek ends disclosure bind after Ali Corp sell down

Taiwanese semi-conductor company Media Tek raised T$1.53bn ($52.2m) this week after selling a 13.20% stake in local IT company Ali Corp, selling its stake to a point at which it no longer needs to publically disclose future sales.

The company announced it planned to sell the stake over a month ago, giving investors time to analyse Ali Corp before the leads started marketing. That made book-building easier, and meant the books were closed an hour after they opened.
