U.K. Mortgage Approvals Down, Re-Mortgages Up

Residential mortgage approvals were down in August, while re-mortgages were up, according to the Bank of England.

Residential mortgage approvals were down in August, while re-mortgages were up, according to the Bank of England. Net lending on residential properties rose by £1.7 billion ($2.69 billion) in August compared to zero in July and £700 million ($1.11 billion) for the six-month average.
