Singapore ‘ready for Rmb listings’, bankers sceptical

Singapore’s stock exchange said at the end of last week that it is now ready for renminbi IPOs, but bankers are still sceptical that there will be big demand for listings in the currency.

The exchange has announced that it is now ready to facilitate the listing and trading of renminbi securities, although a spokesperson would not clarify to EuroWeek Asia what had changed recently to put it in such a state of readiness.
