BDO Unibank lines up $2bn EMTN programme

BDO Unibank, the Philippine universal bank, is set to launch a $2bn euro medium term note programme. The bank dubbed it a "preparatory move" and expects the programme to increase its access to long term funding.

Demand for BDO Unibank would be likely to come from Asia rather than Europe, MTN dealers said.

“European investors have been interested in Asian names, but this has been more for corporate or government-backed credits,” said an MTN dealer.
