Depreciating yen to benefit export stocks, says Nomura
A favourable market outlook and a weaker yen will encourage investors to place their money in Japanese exporters next year, says the Japanese brokerage’s co-head of equity sales.
The Japanese yen should depreciate against the US dollar and Asian currencies next year, benefiting the country’s export-orientated companies, predicts Minoru Hatada, co-head of equity sales, Asia-Pacific at Nomura, Japan’s leading brokerage.
