PetroVietnam attracts $80m in general, closing next week

PetroVietnam has now got around $80m of commitments from eight banks in senior syndication, but is still waiting to close the books. Three lenders have asked the bookrunners to wait until the end of next week before finishing syndication.

The company has been syndicating a five year deal — originally mooted as a $210m loan — since September, and bankers said last week it was clear that the loan was going to be increased. But PetroVietnam wants to raise a maximum of $300m from the loan, and ...
