Dim sum development needs better application, swaps

Hong Kong and international borrowers agree that the growth of the offshore renminbi bond market is being held constrained by the lack of an easy-to-understand application process and little depth in the renminbi swaps market.

The offshore renminbi debt market holds a lot of promise but its appeal is being held back by the lack of an easily navigable application and remittance process for offshore renminbi funds and the lack of liquidity in renminbi swaps, say borrowers looking a the currency.
