LatAm takes bulk of América Móvil tap

Mexican telco América Móvil sold more than half of this week’s Ps7.5bn ($586m) tap of its 2022 peso-denominated bonds to Latin American investors, as LatAm bankers hailed the ever-growing importance of the local investor base.

América designed its deal to bring domestic and international investors into one tranche and the borrower was able to pounce on regional demand to attract a book of Ps17bn at a price at 75bp over Bonos — versus 93bp on the first deal in November.
