East Asia corporate bond markets soar in second quarter
Strong corporate bond flow helped East Asia’s debt markets enjoy strong growth, with China corporate issuance overtaking South Korea’s, says the Asian Development Bank.
Emerging East Asia’s outstanding local currency bonds grew 7.7% on a yearly basis to reach US$5.5 trillion at the end of June, largely on the back of rising corporate issuance, according to the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
