Malaysia’s export prospects dim, expect rates cut

The odds of a cut to Malaysia’s overnight policy rate increases as Europe draws closer to a recession, says Citi.

Despite a surprise improvement in Malaysia’s August exports numbers, longer term prospects for the major exporting country are dimming as European economists predict a recession in the eurozone next year.
