Cofide lines up Taiwan banks for $200m

The $200m 3.25 year loan for Peruvian bank La Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo, or Cofide, has gathered a number of commitments from Taiwanese banks before the deadline of June 7, according to a banker.

Mega International Commercial Bank has made a firm commitment of $10m, while a few other Taiwanese lenders have also made pledges, added the banker.

The South American borrower is targeting domestic Taiwanese banks as well as those with branches in New York to gather demand for the deal. ...
