Citi places £54m institutional Aberdeen block

Sole bookrunner Citi managed a £54m institutional sale of Aberdeen Asset Management shares on Wednesday evening, with large anchor orders allowing the deal to complete quickly and at a slim discount.

An institutional shareholder sold 14.3m Aberdeen shares, representing around 1.2% of the company, for 380p each, a 1.1% discount to the previous close.

The deal was launched at around 5.10pm in the UK on Wednesday evening, with a range of 370p-380p. That offered a 1.1%-3.7% discount to Thursday’s 384.3p close.
