Investor braves shutdown to sell €122m Sopra Group stake

An investor in Sopra Group, a French IT firm, raised €122m through a sale of its entire holding on Monday night, despite the US government shutdown talking place around the same time.

Investment fund Caravelle sold just over 2m shares, representing 17% of the share capital and all of its holding, for €61 each. That was a 7.6% discount to Monday's €66 close.

Berenberg was sole bookrunner. Rothschild was financial adviser to Caravelle.
