Bank duo finds demand at opposite ends of the curve

Commerzbank and Crédit Mutuel Arkéa shared the spoils in the senior market on Thursday, with the pair tapping opposing ends of the curve and vastly different pools of investors.

“There was no competing supply,” said a banker involved with the Arkéa deal. “The other senior financial out on Thursday was short dated, and so targeted a vastly different pool of investors. Our longer dated deal skewed more towards the continental European insurance community, for example.”
