Hong Kong eyes Spac IPO opportunities

Hong Kong is exploring the possibility of getting in on the craze around special purpose acquisition companies (Spac), which has begun to gain ground in Asia this year.

Spacs are shells, also known as blank cheque firms, that raise money through IPOs with the aim of acquiring a company. Spacs are primarily listed in the US, where they took the market by storm in 2020.
