Investors ditch airline bonds as travel restrictions loom

Airline bonds have sold off in the secondary market as the industry faces another wave of new restrictions to combat Covid-19 variants.
UK prime minister Boris Johnson has hinted that the country will start to enforce a hotel quarantine for all overseas visitors. The fresh measures come as new variants of the Covid-19 virus, particularly one that originated in South Africa, was reported in the UK over the weekend.
