European bank pair take pre-Christmas trip to dollars

Two European banks ventured across the Atlantic this week to tap a dollar market that has remained open for business going into mid-December.

“The dollar market is in great shape to allow issuers to pursue some opportunistic pre-funding,” said one FIG syndicate manager involved in some of the recent supply.
