Qatar solar plant generates Japanese funding

A small group of Japanese banks have signed a syndicated facility that will support the funding of a solar power plant in Qatar, which is jointly owned by a consortium of Japanese, French and Qatari firms.

Japan Bank for International Cooperation and Mizuho Bank provided the $330m syndicated loan for the Al Kharsaah photovoltaic solar plant project, which aims to be fully functional by mid-2022.
