Avianca extends exchange deadline amid creditor negotiations

Colombian airline Avianca has pushed out the deadline on its bond exchange by two weeks as continues negotiations with its broader creditor base on a restructuring of its debt.

Bondholders' response to Avianca’s proposed exchange had already met the threshold that United Airlines and shareholder Kingsland Holdings said they required to provide a $250m loan to the company.
