Columbia Threadneedle’s Burgess steps down

Mark Burgess is taking a career break from his role as chief investment officer (CIO) for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Columbia Threadneedle. Global head of equities William Davies will take over.

Burgess is also stepping down from his role as deputy global CIO. He joined the investment firm in 2010, and his last day will be on September 27.

In his role replacing Burgess, Davies will report to Colin Moore, global CIO.
