SSA pair follow KfW through slim window

Last week’s tightly priced bond issue by KfW has inspired a slew of issuers to print three year dollar notes this week. The Asian Development Bank was first off the blocks on Tuesday with a new benchmark, while a tight Export Development Canada trade followed the next day.

“KfW’s trade printed extremely close to US Treasuries and was good proof that there are plenty of accounts still willing to buy,” said a banker on the ADB deal. “A trade like that gave the ADB a bit of confidence to go ahead and print this week.”
