Hopes for French IPO revival in 2019 as RFPs go out

French IPOs could return before the end of the year, with two large listings being prepared for as early as the second half of 2019, according to sources.

Requests for proposals (RFPs) have been sent to potential bookrunners for the IPO of French bottle maker Verallia.

The seller is Apollo Global Management, which acquired the business from Saint-Gobain in 2015 after an auction.

Lazard is advising Apollo on the IPO.
