Cyprus set to issue longest ever bond

The Republic of Cyprus mandated banks on Tuesday for a dual tranche comprising new five and 30 year bonds, with the latter the longest ever bond sold by the sovereign.

The dual tranche comprises December 2024 and May 2049 bonds.

Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Société Générale have been appointed to lead the euro Reg S benchmark transaction.
