Swedbank sacks CEO amid money laundering scandal

Swedbank has removed its CEO and president, Birgitte Bonnesen, as revelations about potential money laundering at the Swedish bank exploded in recent days.

CFO Anders Karlsson has been appointed acting president and CEO, after the board of directors removed Bonnesen on Thursday morning.
