Spanish RMBS braces for mortgage law impact

The Spanish RMBS sector is bracing itself for the impact of legislators’ push to compensate borrowers for early foreclosure periods.

“We expect the mortgage law to have a mixed effect,” said Antonio Tena, vice-president and senior analyst at Moody’s. “This is a draft that is subject to changes, so we have to wait for the final outcome before we can determine the exact credit impact.”
