Brexit taking its toll on UK ECM issuance

UK equity capital markets are feeling the pain from Brexit, with volumes from the country this autumn at one of the lowest levels in recent history.

According to figures from Dealogic, between September 1 and November 27, there was around €6.3bn of UK ECM issuance, which is down 30.5% from the same period in 2017, down 38% from 2016 and down 56% from 2015.
