Barclays eases Irish RMBS into primary pipeline

Four months after acquiring a €5bn Irish mortgage pool from Lloyds, Barclays announced an RMBS transaction to securitize part of it last Friday.

Lloyds and sole arranger Barclays are the joint leads. The €584m Dublin Bay Securities 2018-1 DAC will include 20% buy-to-let mortgages.

The acquired mortgage pool from Lloyds is an example of Barclay’s strategy this year to finance non-core mortgage pools with a securitization.
