Freddie Mac seasoned CRT, Starwood flagship RMBS deals price

A number of non-agency RMBS deals were priced at the end of last week, including private label deals from Starwood and Redwood and a seasoned credit risk transfer (CRT) deal from Freddie Mac.

The largest RMBS deal last week was a $2.4bn CRT offering from Freddie Mac backed by 11,716 seasoned performing and re-performing mortgages. It is Freddie’s largest seasoned credit risk transfer offering of 2018, helping the government sponsored enterprise to offload risk on pre-crisis mortgages held in its portfolio.
