TCI out for blood as LSE calls general meeting

The board of the London Stock Exchange Group will hold a general meeting to decide the future of chairman Donald Brydon as activist investor The Children’s Investment Master Fund (TCI) has refused to retract calls for him to be sacked.

In its announcement to shareholders, the board said it unanimously backed Brydon, recommending to vote against a resolution that could see him ousted. 

The shareholder meeting will take place in London on December 19, and the resolution will need a simple majority to be passed.
