Merrill Sets Recruitment Goals For Structured Marketing

Merrill Lynch plans to hire 10-15 derivatives sales professionals to cover structured products in its recently combined debt and equity structured products marketing group.

Merrill Lynch plans to hire 10-15 derivatives sales professionals to cover structured products in its recently combined debt and equity structured products marketing group. Although marketing of the two asset classes is now combined, the firm is looking for sales professionals with specialist knowledge of either debt or equity products, according to Joachim Willnow, co-head of the structured solutions group.

The firm also plans to hire three to five traders for its debt and equity arms. Willnow said the bank is hiring to replace the professionals that have recently left (DW, 10/13) and expand the business.
