KBC Financial Products has lured Brandon Way, a director in equity derivatives trading at UBS in Stamford, Conn., in a similar role. Jason Cuevas, managing director in equity derivative trading, confirmed the hire but declined further comment. Way could not be reached.
The hire is part of an ongoing effort by KBC to staff up its U.S. equity derivatives operation. Recent recruits include Aaron Ford, former executive director in equity derivative sales at UBS, who joined in a similar role late last year (DW, 10/6).
At UBS, Way reported to John Cassol, executive director in equity derivatives trading, said Kris Kagel, spokesman in New York. Both declined comment on whether he will be replaced.
