BNP Paribas has reportedly signed up Christos Danias, a v.p. in the collateralized debt obligation group at Credit Suisse in London, in a senior role. As first reported on DW's Web site, Danias left Credit Suisse last month and could not be reached for comment. Market scuttlebutt has him starting at the French firm next week, reporting to Tim Drayson, global head of securization. Drayson did not answer calls and Ruth Lavelle, spokeswoman, did not confirm the hire by press time.
Credit officials say Danias has been hired to boost the CDO desk after the departures of senior structurer Orestis Millas and junior structurers Mounir Naffi and Till Kollmar, who defected to Citigroup in March (DW, 3/31). Rebecca O'Neill, spokeswoman at Credit Suisse, did not return a message about a replacement for Danias by press time.
