European investors wake up — and they’re hungry
There are distinct signs of a recovery in the European corporate bond market, which has been lacklustre for most of this year. As investors grow in confidence, bonds printed last week have tightened and indices held firm. That encouraged French electricity grid RTE EDF to tap the market on Tuesday with a Eu1.25bn seven year bond. This morning, German utility E.On and mining group Anglo American are in the market.
