Barclays aims to settle business culture concerns as governance expert Walker takes chairman role
For a bank trying to rehabilitate itself after its corporate culture has been shown to be woeful, it helps to bring an expert on board. On Thursday night Barclays did just that, hiring as its new chairman David Walker, the man who wrote the book on corporate governance for UK banks.
